How neamos came to be
It didn't start with a business plan. It started with a 60 cm rimless aquascape in the living room — and the frustration of realizing that not a single aquarium stand on the market matched it. Not in aesthetics, not in build quality.
The choices were bleak: cheap, flat-pack chipboard cabinets that warp and swell after the first water change, or generic utility stands that look like they belong in a fish room, not a modern home. High-end aquascaping imports existed, but at astronomical prices.
So, we designed our own. First to solve our own problem, then for every aquascaper facing the exact same issue. neamos is the result: a premium aquascaping cabinet engineered like high-end interior furniture — combining material integrity, modern design, and a deep understanding of the hobby.

Our lineup — 45×27, 60×30, and 60×45 cm — perfectly aligns with the most popular rimless tank sizes in the aquascaping community. These are the exact dimensions serious scapers use: from compact 45 cm nano setups to deep, large-format 60×45 aquascapes. Each cabinet is structurally engineered and visually proportioned for its specific tank size.
We deliberately chose Natural Oak and Walnut finishes. An aquascape acts as a living centerpiece in your home, meaning its aquarium stand must meet the same interior design standards as your favorite bookshelf or sideboard. It shouldn't look like bulky aquatic equipment; it should elevate your living space.
Design philosophy

The Onigiri Cut
The defining feature of a neamos stand is the "Onigiri Cut": signature triangular side and rear cutouts inspired by Japanese onigiri. It’s a subtle nod to the Japanese roots of modern nature aquarium styles and our logo. Functionally, it allows for seamless, drill-free routing of filter hoses, lily pipes, and CO₂ tubing.
Equipment ports
Every cutout is strategically placed based on real-world setups. We factored in the exact positioning for external canister filters, inline heaters, and CO₂ regulators. These equipment ports are optimally sized so you can neatly organize your aquascaping hardware without needing to modify or hack the cabinet.
The interior
The interior layout accommodates the complete technical backbone of a high-end aquascape: an external filter, a standard CO₂ cylinder, and even an ATO (Auto Top-Off) reservoir. Heavy-duty structural bracing ensures the cabinet safely supports the massive static weight of water, heavy stone hardscape, and soil.
Moisture protection
Water spills are inevitable during weekly maintenance. That’s why every neamos model is built with fully sealed edges and a highly moisture-resistant core material. We engineered these stands to prevent warping and water damage, ensuring your investment lasts for years in a humid, aquatic environment.
Material & surface
Natural Oak and Walnut aren't just aesthetically pleasing; they provide a tactile, premium feel that synthetic, cheap veneers lack. Our goal was to create a piece of furniture that seamlessly integrates your aquascape into your living space, aging beautifully over time while hiding the complexity of the tech inside.
